You bring your items to one of our Sydney storage facilities, lock the unit with your own padlock, and access it whenever you need during our access hours. It works like having your own private room for extra space, without the high cost of renting commercial property.

What’s the difference between self storage and mobile storage?

Self storage means you bring your goods to our facility and access them directly. Mobile storage, like our MegaBox service, is delivered to your home or office. You load the box, we collect it, and store it safely in our Rosebery warehouse. Mobile storage is ideal if you would like to avoid the logistics or prefer us to handle it for you

How secure are your storage facilities?

Our facilities have 24/7 CCTV surveillance, coded gate access, and back to base facility alarm systems. Units are locked with your own padlock, which means only you control access. Security patrols and monitored systems give you peace of mind that your goods are safe.

What can I store in a unit?

You can store almost anything, including furniture, household items, business stock, documents, tools, or seasonal goods. Many customers use storage when moving house, renovating, or running a business that needs extra space. We also offer pallet and bulk storage at Rosebery for larger items.

Are there restrictions on what I can store?

Yes. For safety reasons, you cannot store dangerous goods such as petrol, gas bottles, firearms, chemicals, or anything illegal. Perishable items like food are also not permitted, as they can attract pests. If you’re unsure about a specific item, our team can advise you.

How do I know what size unit I need?

Our online space calculator helps you estimate the right unit size. You can also call our team for advice. We’ll match your needs based on what you are storing, whether that’s a few boxes, a two-bedroom apartment, or a full warehouse load.

Can I change unit sizes if I need more or less space?

Yes. You can upgrade or downsize your unit at any time, subject to availability. This flexibility means you only ever pay for the space you need.

What’s the minimum and maximum time I can rent storage for?

The minimum rental period is one month. There is no maximum, you can stay as long as you like. Many of our customers store short term for a move, while others keep units for years to support their business.

Do you supply packing boxes and materials?

Yes. We sell sturdy cardboard boxes, tape, bubble wrap, and protective covers. Our Storage Plus moving boxes are designed to stack neatly in your unit. This makes storing easier and keeps your items safe during transit.

How tall are your storage units?

Most of our units are between 2.4 to 2.7 metres high. This gives you plenty of vertical space to stack boxes or furniture safely. For warehouse storage at Rosebery, ceiling heights are even higher to allow pallet racking and bulk storage.

Are the units clean and pest-controlled?

Yes. All Storage Plus facilities are regularly cleaned and treated to prevent pests. We take pride in providing clean, dry, and well-maintained units so your belongings are kept in the best possible condition.

Do you help with packing or just storage?

We can help with both. Our Premium MegaBox service includes professional removalists who can pack and load your items for you.
We also provide packing materials and tips so you can prepare your belongings safely.

How is MegaBox delivered and collected?

We deliver your MegaBox directly to your home or office using our specialised vehicles. You load it at your convenience, and once you’re ready, we collect it and return it to our Rosebery warehouse. When you need your items back, simply book a redelivery.

Pricing & Payments

How much does storage cost?

Storage costs depend on the size of the unit and the location. At Storage Plus, we offer competitive pricing for self storage, mobile storage, and warehouse storage, along with a price beat guarantee. Contact our team for a tailored quote based on your needs.

Do you offer a price beat guarantee?

Yes. If you receive a cheaper written quote from another storage provider within 5 kms from our facility locations, we will beat it. This guarantee applies to new customers and ensures you always get the best deal on storage.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. Our pricing is transparent. You only pay the agreed rental fee plus a small one-off admin fee when you move in. Optional services like MegaBox delivery or goods protection are clearly outlined before you commit.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

We only charge a $30 reservation fee to confirm your unit, which is credited toward your admin fee when you move in.

Is there an admin or setup fee?

Yes. A one-off admin fee is charged when you move into storage.
This covers the setup of your account and access system.

Can I pay weekly, fortnightly, or monthly?

Yes. We offer flexible payment options, with most customers paying monthly. Weekly or fortnightly payments can be arranged if you prefer.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfer. Many customers set up an automatic payment to avoid missed bills. We do not accept cash or cheques.

Can I set up automatic payments?

Yes. Recurring card payments option is available. This ensures your storage rent is always paid on time without the need to log in each month. You can set this up through the customer portal.

Do prices change during my rental period?

We review pricing from time to time, but any changes will be communicated in advance. You will always have the option to continue, change unit size, or cancel if the new rate no longer suits your budget.

Do you offer discounts for long-term storage?

Yes. Customers who commit to longer storage periods receive discounted rates. Speak with our team if you know you will need storage for six months or more.

What happens if I miss a payment?

If a payment is missed, we will contact you to resolve it quickly. Late fees may apply if the account is not brought up to date. If payments are repeatedly missed and the account remains unpaid, your access to the unit will be restricted. Continued default can result in your goods being sold to recover outstanding rental fees, as outlined in the storage agreement.

Can I prepay my storage in advance?

Yes. Many customers prepay for several months at a time, which can make budgeting easier. Ask our team if you would like to pay in advance.

Is GST included in your prices?

Yes. All advertised prices for storage at Storage Plus include GST. This means there are no unexpected additions when you receive your invoice.

Moving & Access

Do you provide trolleys, pallet jacks, or lifts for moving items?

Yes. All Storage Plus facilities are equipped with trolleys, pallet jacks, and lifts to make moving heavy or bulky items easier. These are available free of charge to customers during access hours.

Can I drive right up to my unit?

At selected facilities you can drive directly to your unit for easy loading and unloading. Other units may be located inside multi-level buildings, where lifts and trolleys are available to help move your goods.

What are your access hours?

Alexandria, Mascot, Kingsgrove, and Rosebery (Premium units) offer 24/7 access for customers. Rosebery (Standard units) and Melbourne are accessible during business hours. Always check with our team to confirm the access hours that apply to your unit.

How do I book MegaBox access?

MegaBox access must be booked at least 48 hours in advance. Contact our team to schedule a time, and we will arrange for your box to be made available at our Rosebery warehouse.

Can I sleep/reside in my unit?

No. Sleeping or living in a storage unit is not allowed. Storage units are designed only for storing goods, not for accommodation. This rule is for your safety and is a strict condition of use across all Storage Plus facilities.

How many times can I access my unit each month?

Self storage and warehouse storage customers enjoy unlimited access during opening hours. MegaBox customers can access their box by booking with 48 hours’ notice, subject to bookings availability.

Can someone else access my unit on my behalf?

Yes, but only if you authorise them. You can provide access to family members, staff, or delivery partners by giving them a key or PIN. For security reasons, we recommend registering any authorised users with our team.

Do you offer moving trucks or trailers?

We do not provide trailers, but we can assist with transport through our MegaBox service or recommend trusted removalists. MegaBox is especially popular because it saves you the trouble of hiring a truck.

Do you provide removalists or labour hire?

Yes. Our Premium MegaBox service includes professional removalists who can pack, load, and unload your items. This is ideal for larger moves or when you need extra help with heavy lifting.

How do I arrange delivery and pickup of a MegaBox?

Booking is simple. Contact our team or use the online form to schedule your MegaBox delivery. We bring it to your home or office, you load it, and we collect it for storage at Rosebery. When you need it back, we deliver it to your chosen address.

Can I move my items between facilities?

Yes. You can transfer your goods between our sites if needed. Our team can help arrange transport.

What happens if I lose my access key or PIN?

If you lose your key or forget your PIN, contact our office immediately. For security, locks can be cut and replaced, and PINs can be reset. Proof of ID will be required before access is granted again.

Is there parking on site for vans and trucks?

Yes. Each facility has parking areas that can accommodate cars, vans, and most sized trucks. Rosebery also has loading docks for larger vehicles.

Can I store my car, motorbike, or boat?

Yes. Selected units are suitable for vehicle storage, including cars, motorcycles, and small boats. Contact our team for details on availability and size requirements.

Do you offer loading docks for large deliveries?

Do you service my suburb with MegaBox?

Yes. MegaBox services the inner-west, eastern suburbs, lower north shore, and south Sydney regions. We deliver directly to your home or business, then return the box to our Rosebery warehouse for secure storage. Contact our team to confirm coverage for your suburb.

Can I visit a facility before booking?

Yes. You are welcome to tour any of our facilities before booking. Visiting helps you see unit sizes in person and choose the best option.

Do you have units available right now?

In most cases, yes. Availability depends on the facility and unit size. Contact our team for current availability at Kingsgrove, Rosebery, Alexandria, Melbourne (Richmond), or to pre-register for Mascot.

What’s the difference between Kingsgrove and Rosebery?

Kingsgrove is a large self storage site with 24/7 access, ideal for personal and business use. Rosebery offers both self storage and warehouse storage, with standard units accessible during business hours and premium units available 24/7. Rosebery is also the base for MegaBox mobile storage.

Do you service apartments and inner-city suburbs?

Yes. MegaBox is popular with apartment residents because we deliver the storage unit to your building, saving you from hiring a truck. Our facilities in Alexandria, Rosebery, and Mascot are also close to Sydney CBD and easy to reach from inner suburbs.

Can I transfer to a different location mid-rental?

Yes. You can transfer your storage to another Storage Plus site if your needs change. Our team can help arrange the move between facilities.

Do all locations have the same prices?

No. Pricing varies by facility and unit type. For example, Melbourne (Richmond) has different rates from Sydney facilities, and Rosebery’s warehouse storage is priced separately from self storage. Contact our team for a tailored quote.

Which sites offer 24/7 access?

Kingsgrove and Alexandria both provide 24/7 access. Mascot will also offer 24/7 access when it opens. At Rosebery, 24/7 access is available only for premium units. Melbourne (Richmond), Rosebery standard units, and MegaBox are accessible during business hours.

Do you have storage near Sydney CBD?

Yes. Our Alexandria, Rosebery, and Mascot facilities are all located close to the CBD. Each offers a convenient solution for customers who live or work in central Sydney.

Are there any facilities close to the airport or port?

Yes. Our Rosebery and Mascot sites are close to Sydney Airport and Port Botany, making them ideal for importers, exporters, and frequent travellers.

Do you only service Sydney?

No. In addition to our Sydney sites, we also operate a facility in Melbourne (Richmond). MegaBox is currently only available in the Sydney metropolitan area.

How do I book a storage unit?

You can book a unit online, over the phone, or in person at our offices. Once you choose your size, we’ll confirm availability, and you’ll secure the unit with a $30 reservation fee.

Can I book online, or do I need to call?

Yes, you can book online through our website. Many customers also call for advice before confirming. Both options are quick and secure.

How do I book a MegaBox?

Booking a MegaBox is simple. Contact our team or complete the online form. We’ll arrange delivery to your address, you load the box, and we return it to our Rosebery warehouse for safe storage.

What documents do I need to sign up?

You will need a valid form of photo ID, such as a driver’s licence or passport. For business customers, company details and an ABN may also be required.

Do I need photo ID to rent storage?

Yes. Photo ID is required to confirm your identity and finalise your agreement. This is standard practice at all storage facilities.

How long does the booking process take?

Booking is fast. Most agreements are completed within 10 to 15 minutes once documents are provided. Online bookings are even quicker.

Is there a minimum storage period?

Yes. The minimum rental period is one month. After that, you can stay as long as you like, with flexible terms that suit both short-term and long-term storage needs.

Can I extend my booking after it ends?

Yes. You can extend at any time. Many customers who start with short-term storage decide to keep their unit longer, and our flexible agreements make this easy.

How do I cancel my storage agreement?

To cancel, simply give written notice as outlined in your agreement. Once your account is finalised and the unit is emptied, your agreement ends.

Is there a cooling-off period?

No. Storage Plus agreements do not include a cooling-off period. Your booking secures the unit, and rental charges begin from your agreed start date.

Can I upgrade or downsize during my rental?

Yes. You can move into a larger or smaller unit at any time, subject to availability. This flexibility ensures you only pay for the space you need.

How do I get confirmation of my booking?

You’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details of your booking, including your unit number, access hours, and next steps. For MegaBox bookings, the confirmation will include your delivery date and chosen service type.

Do I need to sign a paper contract, or is it digital?

All agreements are digital for your convenience. You’ll receive a copy by email once your booking is completed. Paper copies are available upon request.

Can I book storage for someone else?

Yes, provided you have their consent and the correct documents. Photo ID for the account holder will still be required, even if you are arranging the booking on their behalf.

Goods Protection

What is StoreProtect?

StoreProtect is an enhanced contractual liability arrangement that allows customers to purchase additional protection for stored goods (subject to terms and conditions).

How do I arrange StoreProtect?

You must confirm to us that you wish to opt in, provide a Maximum Replacement Value, and agree to pay our additional StoreProtect Fees.

What protection do I get from StoreProtect?

StoreProtect provides extended liability protection for loss or damage to your goods under the Self-Storage Licence Agreement and StoreProtect Addendum.

Are my goods insured?

Whilst in storage, your goods are stored at your risk. We strongly recommend you arrange protection for goods in storage for added peace of mind.

Do I have to insure my goods?

A customer can either opt in to StoreProtect (subject to being within the target market), take out insurance or rely on standard contractual liability. Please refer to our StoreProtect page for more information

How do I calculate my Maximum Replacement Value?

The Maximum Replacement Value you provide for StoreProtect must represent the total current cost of replacing all stored property as new. Exclusions apply.
