How does self-storage work?

Do you have trolleys and pallet jacks available for use?
Yes. We have several types of complimentary trolleys, cages, and pallet jackets to use at any time, free of charge. Ask at the office.
How do I update my account or billing details ?
Email or call us. We will be happy to change any details for you any time.
Do you offer a forklift service?
All forklift services are free for the first month. After your first month, packages start from just $69 per month.
How often can I access my space? Does it cost extra?
As often as you need. Access is available when the facility is open. Some of our facilities are open 24/7. There is no charge to access your storage space.
Can I drive up to my storage unit to load or unload?
If you wish to drive up to your storage unit, you will need to lease a ground floor unit in our Rosebery facility.
What Can Be Stored
What may I store?
Furniture, seasonal items, household goods, appliances, clothing, books, electronics, cars & motorcycles, tyres, alcohol, business stock and trade materials are permitted. Please speak to our customer service staff to clarify.
Can I sleep inside the storage unit?
Can I store fresh food or other perishables?
What items are prohibited from storage?
Hazardous and flammable materials, wet items, garbage, plants, animals, illegal or stolen goods, firearms, foodstuffs, and organic material are prohibited from our facilities.
Can I work inside the storage unit?
Yes, during the facility’s operating hours. However, sleeping is prohibited.
Onsite Storage Security
What security is provided?
CCTV is in operation in all locations. We have secure fences, lighting, and perimeter fencing installed and undertake daily lock integrity checks. In addition, our Kingsgrove facility offers 24-hour security response monitoring for individually alarmed spaces.
Who else has access?
Only you and those you provide access can enter your unit.
What payment methods are available?
We accept all major credit cards, EFTPOS, bank cheques and bank deposit.
Can I pay weekly or monthly?
Rent is to be paid monthly in advance. A weekly payment arrangement can be set up if required.
Do you price match?
Yes. Our price guarantee states we promise to beat any comparable competitive quote (all-inclusive self-storage in Sydney and Melbourne metro region) by 10%.
Are there any hidden charges?
No. All charges will be clearly stated in the quote you receive.
What happens if I do not pay my rent?
In the case that a customer can no longer pay storage rental, we will auction the stored goods in an effort to recover our losses.
Are my goods insured?
Insurance is not included in our standard agreement.
Do I have to insure my goods?
No, insurance is not compulsory. However, we do recommend insuring valuables and business stock.
Preparing to Store
Can I move in today?
Yes, if the space is available. To formalise the agreement and gain access you will need your ID and to pay a month in advance.
Is my reservation deposit refundable?
Yes. If you need to cancel your reservation, we will refund your deposit within 30 days.
How do I know what storage space I need?
Try our free space visualizer. Alternatively, our experienced team know the questions to ask and will give you a quote immediately.
Do you offer powered units?
Yes. Most of our warehouse spaces have power points. Costs may apply for power point installation otherwise. Please note, for safety reasons, kettles, heaters and heavy-duty machinery are not permitted to be used in the units.
Do you provide storage for students?
Yes. We have specific student storage solutions available including 10% off when you show your valid student ID.
How far in advance can I book a storage unit?
We can arrange to have you move in immediately or reserve your space months in advance. Contact our team to discuss your options.
Do I need to sign a contract to rent a unit?
Yes. Every customer is required to sign a storage agreement.
Can I take a site visit before storing?
Yes. We recommend visiting the facility to familiarise yourself with the location and storage space before committing. This helps to visualise the space and be sure it suits your needs.
Can I access my storage unit on public holidays?
Access is available when the facility is open. We are open almost every day of the year. Our Rosebery and Melbourne facilities are closed New Year’s Day, over the Easter long weekend, and on Christmas Day.
Do you sell boxes and packing materials?
Yes. Our onsite Box Shop offers all the boxes and other packing materials you need.
Do I need a padlock?
Yes. That way you are guaranteed to be the only person with a key. Padlocks are available for sale in our onsite Box Shop.

Can you help me with my packing?
Our mobile storage solution Megabox offers a packing service, including boxes, bubble wrap, mattress and lounge covers, butchers paper, and tape to safely transport your goods into storage.
Do you have removalists to help me?
Our mobile storage solution Megabox offers in-home removalists, however, we do not offer this in our facilities. We have partnered with trusted removalists in Sydney and Melbourne who we recommend, should you need a hand.
What if I lose my keys?
Our staff can assist with bolt cutters in the unfortunate case you lose your key. Valid ID is required.
Moving Out of Your Storage Space
How much notice must be given when I move out?
30 days’ notice of intent to cancel your agreement is required.
What happens if I move out early?
Providing we receive notice, any remaining future rent paid in advance on the account will be refunded.
